Certified Diabetes Educators

Certified Diabetes Educators (CDEs) can be a significant resource to people living with diabetes. CDEs are nationally certified healthcare professionals with expert knowledge of diabetes care and management, who are committed to excellence in diabetes education.

Pharmacists represent a large proportion of CDEs seeking certification in this field. According to a recent study, most pharmacists working in hospitals, health care systems, academia and managed care settings who possess CDE credentials, find them invaluable and plan to re-credential when their certification expires.

If you are looking to differentiate yourself from other pharmacists, develop expertise in diabetes education, and provide better care to diabetes patients, you may be eligible to become a Certified Diabetes Educator.
